Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
I consider joining the PHNX jury this year to be significant for several reasons. Firstly, the inclusive nature of the PHNX awards, being open to all, is compelling. This inclusivity ensures that a diverse range of work, often overlooked by more exclusive award shows due to high entry costs or strict selection criteria, is given a platform. Secondly, the opportunity to be exposed to creative submissions from across the globe promises to be an incredibly enriching experience. It offers insights into very different perspectives and cultural contexts.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
I think it's a great idea to have a mix of people from different parts of the industry on the jury. Each person brings their own insights, perspective and experience, which makes judging creative work more interesting. Creative campaigns are a team effort involving different roles, so having input from various backgrounds helps us understand and appreciate them better.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
I think it's fantastic, because it gives absolutely everyone the opportunity to celebrate their work, put their ideas out there and earn recognition, an opportunity which has somehow been exclusive in our industry
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
Brave, daring, ambitious, inspiring
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
I think it is still all about purpose-driven campaigns
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
