I am the editor in chief of CNET News and I am responsible for overseeing a global team that covers breaking stories and also delivers analyses and features. Before that I have worked in and around Silicon Valley for MacWeek, Wired, Upside, Interactive Week, Bloomberg News and Forbes.
In addition to reporting and writing on companies in and around Silicon Valley, including Apple, I was responsible for helping to coordinate SF tech team and served as the point of contact in SF for tech companies.
Responsible for overseeing and managing global corporate PR (financial/crisis/innovation PR), internal/employee communications and executive communications teams as HP managed transition to a new CEO.
Responsible for daily coverage and for getting news scoops/exclusives on Apple, Hewlett-Packard and Dell, in addition to helping out other technology team members in the U.S. and around the world on breaking technology news stories. Duties included interviewing and cultivating key sources in the industry (CEOs and other top-level executives, financial and technology analysts, venture capitalists), and then writing breaking news, feature stories, trend pieces, profiles and analysis.
