Founding Partner, Design
Brooklyn, United States
April 2013 - Present (11 years 7 months)
Work & Company was designed from the ground up to create the types of digital products and services that can singlehandedly change the face of brands.

We partner with companies committed to embracing a lean product development approach. We ask our clients to participate directly in an agile, iterative process based heavily on rapid prototyping, continuous testing, and fewer large meetings.

Our first project to go live was the new virginamerica.com.
Partner, User Experience
Brooklyn, United States
April 2007 - April 2013 (6 years)
I moved to the United States to work at Huge as an interaction designer in 2007—recruited by Gene Liebel (my Partner today), when the company was only 60 people. I worked my way up and in three years I was made Partner. I led the design of some of Huge's most successful projects - including HBO GO, TED Talks, Pepsi Refresh, CNN.com, and Itaú.

I also founded the Rio de Janeiro office, made Huge expand to Brasília and Portland, and helped grow the offices on the west coast and in Europe.

When I left, Huge was 550 people strong. I had hired over 70 employees, and won 75% of the new business pitches I worked on.
Part-time Professor
PUC-Rio
March 2005 - June 2007 (2 years 3 months)
Teaching was a great experience. But I'm probably not doing it again soon.
Designer
Globo.com
April 2003 - March 2007 (3 years 11 months)
I started at Globo as a mid-level designer and eventually grew to a leadership position managing a small but great design team for sports products.

We created the first (and second) GloboEsporte.com. I left the company after achieving the goal that was given to me — making GloboEsporte the #1 sports site in Brazil.

Globo.com was a great school.
Designer
DBA
February 2002 - April 2003 (1 year 2 months)
My first full time job was in a tech company. That's when I started studying usability and decided to get my Masters.
Design Intern
NAE, Design Redig & VS Propaganda
August 1998 - January 2001 (2 years 5 months)
I did several internships when I was in Design School. My main focus was to learn a little bit of everything. I think I was a pretty bad intern actually.
