Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Nicolás Vara is the Chief Creative Officer of DAVID Buenos Aires. In 2023, he was listed in Adweek’s Creative 100 which celebrates the standouts in marketing, media and culture.
Nico joined DAVID Buenos Aires as Creative Director in March 2017. In just one year, his work contributed to DAVID Buenos Aires becoming one of the most prestigious agencies in the world, through multi awarded winning campaigns such as the “All In Promo”, for Noblex, among others.
Two years later, he was promoted to ECD, having consolidated a continuous growth to the office in terms of creativity by winning Lions in each Cannes Lions Edition since 2017 onwards. Additionally, in 2020, the office was recognized by WARC as the most effective agency in Latin America.
In 2022, DAVID Buenos Aires was the best Argentinian agency in LIA and also won 7 Effie Awards in different markets working for Coca-Cola, Falabella.com, among others. Recently, the office was also recognized as the best Argentinian Agency by the Clio Awards. He is also responsible for Argentinian creativity to be featured in the most iconic commercial break: the Super Bowl.
Before joining DAVID Buenos Aires, he went through different agencies such as Ogilvy, BBDO, McCann, Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi. He has led projects for some of the biggest global brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, ABInbev, HSBC, Burger King, The Walt Disney Company, Mondelez, Macma, Netflix, Volkswagen, Noblex, etc.
