With a degree in Advertising and PR, Jon has worked as a creative in top-tier agencies for almost 25 years.
He began his career as a copywriter at Bassat Ogilvy and later was Creative Director at Contrapunto BBDO and DDB Madrid; Executive Creative Director of Villar-Rosàs Madrid; Global Creative Director at The Cyranos/McCann and, from 2012 to 2019, Executive Creative Director at McCann.
His strategic vision has helped him build some of the most relevant brands in Spain, such as Canal+, Smart, Mercedes Benz, Nike, Amnesty International, Estrella Damm, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Movistar, Repsol, IKEA, Twitter, Playstation, Burger King, Campofrío, etc.
He has more than 250 awards - including 25 Cannes lions, several of them gold - at national and international festivals, and in 2023 he was named the professional with the most Golds in the history of the Spanish Creative Club, where he was also a member of the Board of Directors. In 2023 he also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Camilo José Cela University. In addition, he has been a judge at almost all festivals.
In 2020, together with film director Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, he founded Bijoux Content, a creative production company specializing in branded content where he holds the position of General Creative Director of Content. Here he carries out projects such as the multi-award-winning “Unboxing de Ibai”, for Netflix and Playstation.
In addition to all this, he has been an Associate Professor at different universities such as the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Nebrija University, and the Instituto de Empresa (IE). He combines it all with his work as founder and director of Madrid Content School, the first Spanish-speaking school specialized in Branded Content, and Madrid Content Studio.
In September 2023 he was chosen as one of “The 100 Top Creatives in Business” by Forbes magazine.
