Colourfully bold: Cecilia is a vibrant Cuban artist raised in West London whose work blossoms with themes that unite her heritage with absurd elements of Caribbean folk tales. Graduating from The University of Westminster in Directing Animation, Cecilia went on to pursue a Masters in Narrative Animation at the Royal College of Art where she developed her unique style marrying nonsensical storytelling with experimental animation. Her film “The Missing Pig” toured festivals such as the Ottawa International Animation Festival, Glas, and Animateka and won the Grand Prize for Best Short at the Toronto Animated Image Society during its premiere.
