Isabel Garcia

I’m Isabel (Bel), graduated in Design; Visual Communication from Centro Universit rio Senac in 2008 and I have been working for 12 years at Gax Brasil as Creative Director. Currently, I am involved in the entire work process of the agency, from collecting briefings with the client, building strategic planning, coordinating the creative team, presenting projects and, of course, a lot of hands-on because a creative doesn’t just only use Keynote.
In my college exam year I wanted to study medicine, economics, aeronautics and psychology.
I was interested in handcrafts, gardening, running and literature, I wanted to do it all!
I chose design by chance of fate and found myself completely. This curiosity about everything has always been my main tool throughout my career. In more than 15 years dedicated to communication, I dove into so many universes, all that knowledge seems random but that only enriches my personal baggage, in addition to being great for bringing up any type of subject in informal conversation circles.
I’m still curious and wanting to learn everything I can. I’m Lis’s mother, 4 years old, married to Ricardo (18 years together), I practice yoga and running and I’m deeply involved with my personal issues. I am my biggest critic and supporter at the same time.
The whole process of motherhood turned me around and inside out every day. I review my postures and practices all the time. Having a mirror of yourself growing up right in front of you is the most profound kind of intimate makeover there can exist.
If before Lis I procrastinated and stretched the time as I wanted, today I feel more focused and objective. But I also read teenagers’s books and and I follow politics and tv shows on Twitter.
I always want to expand, learning and teaching, having fun, organizing, always moving forward and making sure that I always make the best of every opportunity that comes my way.
