Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
I joined because I can not imagine the spring without looking at and evaluating some of the most interesting communications campaigns around the globe. And to be a little bit proud of myself.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
The hybrid jury is perfect. Consumers are also diverse, with different points of view. I believe the choice of the hybrid jury is a very good choice.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
This idea encourages people to enter their work. It is smart, and it costs nothing since the awards are online. I may enter some agency work next year.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
The perfect PHNX Awards winner is someone who communicated effectively and touched the recipient's heart, made a lasting and meaningful connection, and delivered a relatable promise.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
AI, for sure, and people's laziness. We have simplified our work so much that we only think AI copy, 3D models... I believe we need to go back to clay, and paint. We are losing it.
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
Oh wow, I can not say. Living in Africa, we are deprived of (almost) all the shine and the glory. I'll skip this question, let the creatives wow me this year.
