JC Ferrer completed a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Graphic Design from Atlantic University College in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
He began his creative career at GREY, where he worked his way up through different roles, leading the creativity of brands like Dish, Energizer, GSK, Mazda, Procter & Gamble, and RadioShack, among others. He later joined HAVAS, where his work contributed to several successful New Business wins such as Nissan, PAWA Air and Total Petroleum.
In 2014, JC joined FCB, where he worked on several projects for National and International brands such as Honda, Holsum and Nestlé-Purina. Later that year, he had the opportunity of representing Puerto Rico as a Young Lion delegate at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
After leaving the agency, JC worked as a Design Professor at the University of Turabo (SUAGM) and collaborated as a freelance creative director with top agencies like JWT, Y&R, McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO, DDB and LIH.
Recognized for his creativity and strong leadership, he was invited by the Puerto Rican Creative Circle to represent the Island as a Young Creative delegate at the 2016 FIAP Festival in Mexico City.
In 2017, JC moved to New York City, where he worked for a brief time at PMKBNC on the Samsung and Samsung 837 brands. Shortly after, he joined Area 23 (part of FCB Global, Cannes Lions 2017 Healthcare Agency of the Year and Cannes Lions 2018 Healthcare Network of the Year) as a Senior Art Director. During his time, JC worked on multiple brand launches for clients like Lilly, Bayer, Insmed and GSK.
After his time at Area 23, JC joined Octagon New York (part of IPG) as Associate Creative Director, where he led the creativity of brands like PlayStation, Delta Airlines, MasterCard, Bank of America The Home Depot and Taco Bell for their Sports and Entertainment partnerships.
Recognizing the opportunities in the market, JC moved back to the Health and Wellness segment as an ACD/Design Lead at Minds + Assembly; an independent, fast-growing creative agency with offices in New York City, London and Singapore.
