Marit Weerheijm graduated at the Dutch Film Academy in 2016. Her eccentric film style can best be described as character-driven, naturalistic and organic with loads of room for spontaneity and creativity.
Her love for the freeform of film has delivered her the prestigious Student Academy Award for her film When Grey is a Color. Next to that, the film gathered two prizes at TIFF. This directly led to the development of her second film, ‘Before Dark’.
