Bobby McGill is the Founder and Publisher of Branding in Asia, covering the creative and business trends in Branding, Advertising and Marketing across the region.

Originally from San Francisco, where he worked more than a decade as a journalist, Mr. McGill is now based in Asia and has been featured widely in the media on Asia-related topics.

He is also currently a Professor lecturing on Branding and Marketing in the Department of International Studies at Dongseo University in Busan, South Korea.

Over the course of a long writing career much of my work has been done on a freelance basis.

Some highlights in my career include:

- Interviewing Presidential Candidate George W. Bush
- Interviewing American Vice President Al Gore
- Breaking the globally publicized and highly controversial story of K-Pop star PYS's previous Anti-American sentiments. (My article was directly quoted in myriad publications ranging from the New York Times to Time Magazine)
- Highlighted as a "comprehensive source" on immigration to the U.S. Congress for my coverage of H-1 Visa issues revolving around Indian software engineers in America
-My piece about the best places to fish in Silicon Valley. (Ok, ok. This ranks as a highlight solely due to it being my first paid piece of writing)
