Born in London, Rupert Pope is a composer, songwriter and producer. His music has been placed in numerous film and TV productions including Flight Plan, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, CSI Miami, CSI NY, Coast, Top Gear, American Idol, Ugly Betty, The Big C, Strike Back and Jersey Shore.
He has also written for and had his music placed in many advertisements for international brands including Chrysler, Carlsberg, Nokia, Virgin Atlantic, Flybe, L'Oreal, Vodafone and Estee Lauder and placed in movie trailers including I Give it A Year, The Rules of Attraction and Hachi: A Dogs Tale.
Following a classical upbringing, Rupert cut his musical teeth at Zero-G where he composed content for the ground-breaking DJ game "Mixman" using the sounds of Heaven 17 and KKlass to create interactive tracks.
Rupert then joined Extreme Music, initially as producer for Thomas Dolby's Beatnik platform and then as mastering engineer for Extreme's growing catalogue. He worked on music ranging from Hans Zimmer and John Powell through to Vince Clarke and John Digweed and also found time to work on his own compositions, leading to many TV, film and advertising placements.
More recently Rupert has set up Deep Cut Studios on the south coast of the UK, composed for Sky and ESPN and had his music recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
During 2013 Rupert's music was heard on several advertising campaigns including Flybe, E45, Argos, L'Oreal, Scottish Power, Statoil, Imperial Leather, Manchester Utd Foundation and Just Eat.
