Double Bb tuba wasn't enough to entice Adrian into pursuing music, but when he began playing the guitar at fifteen, his exceptional instrumental skills became apparent, and music was clearly the path to take. After two years of playing, mostly without formal instruction, he gained entry into the jazz improvisation course at Monash University.
While at Monash he spent most of his time avoiding the prescribed curriculum and smoking. He also doggedly pursued his own musical interests. A love of classical music led him to studying classical guitar, and a desire to perform was nourished by his band 'Me and the Grownups', who recorded two feature length albums and performed extensively throughout Melbourne and Australia.
Not long after his university studies, a desire to compose began to overtake the aspiration to become a performing guitarist. He then assembled a studio and began establishing himself around Melbourne as a talented tune-smith, cutting his teeth on short films, documentaries, theatre works and commercials. After two years working as a regular freelancer for Song Zu, he finally made the move up from Melbourne in 2013 to work full time.
