POV: Director
How would you describe what you do?
I'm a commercial and movie director. Specialized in storytelling.
How did you get into this job?
I started with shortfilms and music videos. In my first jobs the motto was "one man for everything". After these first experiences I made some "spec" commercial in order to understand how it works this kind of media.
What is most challenging about what you do?
I would want always to preserve my point of view in every work.
What is most rewarding?
What’s a typical work week like?
In this moment, I spend my time writing my new feature film and following the post production of my last commercial, a very strong work about how much different could be our point of view about transportation.
What needs to happen the most in order for a shoot to run smoothly?
I think a perfect relationship between the director's point of view and needs of agency and client.
Whats your best job/worst job?
My best job will be presented in 10 days. Another that I love is "Our lovely dream", a commercial made for European Space Agency. My worst job...I forgot it ;-)
What advice would you offer someone considering a career as a Director?
To believe in your point of view and make whatever you can to tell a story with images.
If you had one project that you could post on AdForum to represent your work, what would it be?
My new job, Esa commercial (Our lovely dream) and Samsung commercial.
