POV: Director

How would you describe what you do?

I'm looking to understand the need for a project. So i can draw what i see in my mind. Seek for a location , the right people for the right job, and finally Produce It .

How did you get into this job?

By passion and need to describe images i have in my mind.

What is most challenging about what you do?

Develop the exact projet. And make it to the point to everyone can understand it.

What is most rewarding?

Finishing the exact project when it has been accepted.

What’s a typical work week like?

Developing / drawing / scooting for place / looking for the right customer for the right project. And Clearly. Direct !

What needs to happen the most in order for a shoot to run smoothly?

Having the right person to do the right job, talking drawing directing photo/film, and a great planification and direction .

Whats your best job/worst job?

Best : when everyone understand the concept right away and we can create it within 2 weeks.
Worst : when the project goes so slow and the direction is not well done and you have to retouch again and again.

What advice would you offer someone considering a career as a Director?

To go to school , work hard , let everyone know that you are here and producing good work.

If you had one project that you could post on AdForum to represent your work, what would it be?

I would say 2 project the first one is the one we did end 2017 for the SNSM - Sauveteurs en Mer
and the 2nd one is one that i have in mind and on paper that hasn't been accepted yet. The prototype is done but just need to make it be accepted by the client.

Finally tell us something that most people don’t know about being a Director?

That it's not to just come and direct. But having whitenight no sleep, drawing a lot, making plans more that you could imagine . The Director is not only here to direct but to plan every little detail for the shoot. The Director must know everyones job so there is no chance to miss the point of the project.
