Steve Zaroff joined McCann New York in 2012 as the agency’s Chief Strategy Officer, with responsibility for leading the Strategic Planning Department. He has strategic oversight for the agency’s entire client base.
Steve has had more than 15 years of agency experience as a planner and strategist. Prior to joining McCann he was Head of Strategy for the digital shop, SapientNitro where he ran the strategy department and wrote the pitch-winning global brand strategy for the Volvo account.
His career began at Deutsch, working on such brands as Ikea, Tangueray Gin and Wolfgang Puck. Later at Ogilvy & Mather, where he became the youngest senior partner in the firm’s history, he led a wide variety of global brands and created the first-ever global brand and portfolio management strategy for American Express. At TBWA/Chiat Day he led the strategy for Miller Brewing. At Kirschenbaum Bond + Partners, he led the financial services practice, working with clients such as Edward Jones and Liberty Mutual Insurance.
