Darlàn Monterisi is executive vice president and managing director of Porter Novelli’s flagship office in New York, who offers more than 17 years of experience creating and overseeing U.S. and global communications and public affairs programs for a wide range of clients and businesses. She is also the global lead of the agency’s HP business.
Prior to joining Porter Novelli, she was the global PR director for Rockstar Games, conceiving, developing and executing integrated communications programs for such brands as Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Before that, she was an account director with Mullen, working with clients including the Department of Defense, BBN Technologies, H&R Block, Embarq and Wachovia. Prior to that, Monterisi served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, working as a public affairs officer providing strategic public affairs guidance to top Marine commanders and serving as a spokesperson for the First Marine Expeditionary Force in Fallujah, Iraq during Operation Vigilant Resolve in 2004. Earlier in her career she held in-house roles in the entertainment and sports medicine industries.
Darlàn earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science and Italian language and literature from the University of Chicago. She was named to PRWeek’s “40 Under 40” in 2008.
