Bernard started his advertising career at Grey Hong Kong in 1993, where he gained valuable experience on a diverse range of accounts.
After two and a half years, he joined DMB&B HK as Senior English Writer, where he worked on MasterCard and Hyatt Regional, among others. While there, he was promoted to Creative Group Head.
A short stint at Batey Ads Singapore followed, at the end of which he returned to Hong Kong to join Bates as Associate Creative Director.
In 1999, Bernard was recruited by Leo Burnett HK. as Creative Director there, he oversaw the launch of a number of award-winning campaigns for Prudential Insurance, McDonald’s China and Proctor & Gamble’s hair-care brands.
His quest for fresh challenges took him to Ogilvy HK next, where his account responsibilities included DBS Bank’s credit card products, followed by DDB HK.
In May 2010, Bernard joined M&C Saatchi HK as Senior Creative Director.
