Robert Rasmussen, Tribal DDB?s Chief Creative Officer and Executive Creative Director of the New York Office, has had a career that has been hard to categorize. He began as a designer, became an art director, working in the most creative traditional and digital agencies. On his way to creative director, he has won nearly every top creative and effectiveness awards in the industry. Rasmussen?s notable contributions to the evolution of digital creative excellence include ?Beta-7? for Sega, created while at Weiden + Kennedy, was named in the Book of Tens: Best Non-TV Campaigns of the Decade recently by Advertising Age.
Prior to joining Tribal DDB, Rasmussen was the Executive Creative Director of Innovation at BBH New York, over-seeing the launch of GMAC/Ally Bank, Westin Hotels and the relaunch of Sprite. Before that he served as Executive Creative Director at R/GA overseeing all of its Nike business which included the much lauded Nike Plus, the creation of the Nike.com platform and everything else form basketball to e-commerce.
Previously, as creative director at JWT, New York, Robert led the creative pitch for the Jetblue business there and oversaw the account until 2007. During this time he created and oversaw the ?Sincerely, JetBlue? work which included the JetBlue Storybooth that gathered the content that was the basis for over 12 television commercials, 4 viral videos and in-flight content.
Rasmussen?s other client credits also include major brands like Nike, ESPN, Coke, Diet Coke, Microsoft, Miller Brewing and the Ad Council. He honed his multi-discipline skills on these brands with over a decade at Wieden + Kennedy, both in New York and Portland.
Robert is an active member of the Board of Directors of the New York Art Directors Club and the CRC Ad Council. He has sat on juries for One Show Interactive, the Clios, the New York Festivals and the London International Awards.
