David began his advertising career in Adelaide before being transferred to Melbourne to manage the Nissan business with Taylor O'Brien Advertising. Subsequent account management roles at SPASM and Foote Cone & Belding led him joining Wayne Wood at newly formed agency Brady Wood Advertising as partner and General Manager. Two years later, following the acquisition of the agency by FCB, David was appointed to the national board and became General Manager of the Melbourne office. A move back to Adelaide as Managing Director of FCB preceded his joining Whybin TBWA (formerly Box emery) in 1992. Over his 25 year career, David has been responsible for a diverse range of business including Shell Chemical, Telecom, NEC, Mazda, Simplot, Wilkinson, Sword, News Limited and The Seven Network. He was also responsible for Medibank Private advertising for over five years, the Australian Electoral Commission for the last four elections, the highly successful Commonwealth Department of Health & Aged Care campaigns for Lifetime Health cover and Closing the Gap as well as Australia's largest ever advertising campaign for the launch of Tax Reform in 2000.
