Susan Hoffman started her career as an art director at Pihas, Schmidt, Westerdahl before moving to TBWA\Chiat\Day Seattle. Three years later she came to Wieden+Kennedy as employee No. 8 and has spent the last 30 years defining the agency’s culture and setting the bar for creative excellence.
She’s worked as a creative director, and ran Wieden+Kennedy 12, the experimental ad school. Along the way she’s introduced the world to directors like David Fincher and Michael Bay and helped launch the careers of many of the most successful creative directors in the industry.
Under her leadership as executive creative director of the flagship office, Portland has rapidly grown to an office of over 600 people and earned a number of distinguished agency-of‐the-year honors from several leading industry organizations and publications. Susan has also been one of the most award-winning creatives in Ad Age’s Awards Report for the past four consecutive years.
