Laura Murphy

Laura Murphy is good at making funny stuff. She started her directing career at MTV making comedy promos with talent like Dave Chappelle, Tom Cruise and Lindsay Lohan and then went on to direct commercials and branded content for clients such as Trojan, Geico and Schick.

Recently she directed sketches for HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, was the director and Co-EP of MTV’s #1 hit show GirlCode, directed two seasons of YouTube’s first scripted comedy, “PartTimers” and several episodes of TruTV’s “Adam Ruins Everything”. Most recently, she directed numerous episodes of “Tawk”, a talk show for Verizon’s Go90 network.

She is also getting better at writing about herself in the third person.
