As part of the original creative team hired by The Monkeys, I co-created memorable campaigns for clients that included FOXTEL, The Comedy Channel, Yahoo7, The National Rugby League of Australia and The Sun-Herald, and had work recognized at Cannes, The New York Festivals, The Effies and The Caxtons.

Art Director
FHM
April 2004 - August 2006 (2 years 4 months)
Originally employed as Deputy Art Director I soon moved up to role of Art Director. In this position I was responsible for all visual aspects of the magazine, running the art department and managing the art team of 3. It was my responsibility to ensure that the finished product was of the highest possible standard each month.

My role also involved working closely with the Editor and senior editorial team on feature and content ideas for the publication, making sure that it was always one step ahead of the competitors and remaining No.1 in it's category.
Art Director/Designer
Freelance
April 2003 - March 2004 (11 months)
When I first in Australia I freelanced at a diverse range of magazines that included FHM, Empire, Tracks, Waves, Ministry of Sound, TV Week and Take 5.
Designer/Deputy Art Director/Art Director
FHM
February 2000 - March 2003 (3 years 1 month)
I joined FHM as a designer when it was at height of its success. It was a fantastic time to be involved with the magazine at the peak of the Lads' mag explosion. With the plentiful budgets of that era, the creative opportunities were amazing and the environment fantastic.

I gained invaluable experience here, and during my time was promoted to Deputy Art Director and then had a stint as Art Director before heading down under.
Designer
Freelance
June 1999 - February 2000 (8 months)
This is where it all began for me. Working for free in the art departments at Loaded and Empire magazines (while pulling pints at night in London’s west end). It wasn’t long before I'd earned my stripes and began freelancing on titles such Q, The Big Issue, Melody Maker, Select and Muzik (whilst continuing to have regular work at Loaded and Empire and not pull pints).
