Mike has worked at ad agencies for over 18 years before joining Trone as Executive Vice President, Director of Account Management. In addition to managing all of Trone's account supervisors, he plays a key role in our Business Development Task Force.
Mike started his career working on the Captain D's account. During his tenure at Long Haymes Carr, Mike supervised the Wachovia Bank account, winning an EFFIE for marketing effectiveness. He helped Hanes launch its megabrand campaign that built the brand image while supporting initiatives for the product divisions. This involved hanging out with the likes of Michael Jordan and Joe Montana. Mike also helped BellSouth launch its digital wireless phone service in 13 markets. He coordinated a centralized branding effort and quarterly promotional calendar with local and regional field marketing efforts.
His other experience includes Nabisco, Alabama Power, Siemens wireless handsets, Zatarain's rice mixes and Tyco Electronics' AMP division.
For the past three years, Mike has taught a New Product Introduction class as part of Wake Forest University's Babcock MBA program. He was born in Philadelphia, but has lived in North Carolina with his wife and daughter for the past 15 years (and likely the next 40).
