Currently serving as the Global Chief Creative Officer at AKQA, one of WPP’s fastest-growing creative studios, Shu continues to push the boundaries of innovation and craft in the world of advertising and design.
Shu’s career journey is marked by impactful roles at some of the world’s most iconic brands. She held multiple senior marketing positions at Nike before taking on the role of Global Creative Director at UNIQLO. She later led the creative team at L Catterton-backed Everlane, where she brought her unique vision to life.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Shu is the founder and creative director of Table of Contents (ToC), a hybrid physical and digital retail platform renowned for introducing avant-garde design to the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Founded with her husband and collaborator, Joseph Magliaro, ToC has become a cornerstone for showcasing boundary-pushing design and ideas.
As a passionate advocate for diverse teams and workplace equity, Shu serves as an executive sponsor for API (Asian Pacific Islander) initiatives at AKQA and actively mentors creatives of color through her involvement with Monday Night Mentorship, a network and career accelerator dedicated to fostering talent and diversity.
