Stephan started his advertising career in 1985 as a Copywriter.
From 1994 to 2007, he worked as Creative Director at Germany’s top creative agencies Springer & Jacoby, Jung von Matt and Scholz & Friends.
In 2005, Stephan joined Publicis and two years later was promoted to Chief Creative Officer of Publicis Frankfurt. In 2010, Stephan moved to Publicis Munich as Chief Creative Officer in charge of cross media and digital business for the agency.,
During his career, Stephan has been working for major brands such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Renault, Lufthansa, Deutsche Bank, DHL, Walt Disney, Nestlé and L’Oréal.
Since 2000, he has been a member of the German Art Director’s Club and has won over 100 awards for outstanding creativity and creative effectiveness.
