BriefAmaro Averna was suffering its long heritage and not attracting new younger consumers while losing existing ones. Its Sicilian origin and long tradition were becoming ballast… We had to turn them back into fuel for attraction.Sicily is Averna's point of differentiation, its origin, land and culture. We felt to crack the problem we had to work on the island where Averna was born and where it is still produced. We flew to Sicily to see the people, smell the odours, touch the herbs, taste the dishes and hear the dialects.The solution was there, somatic traits, dishes, arts and crafting were all saying the same story. A story able to spread the proudness of younger consumers as well as the honour of mature ones, a story rooted in Sicily but valid everywhere: staying open and welcoming whatever is different enriches you, your art, your personality, your know how, like nothing else can.
