Brief	"The Freedom Edition" addresses a pressing global issue: the repression of independent journalism. With over 580 journalists imprisoned globally, Reporters without Borders and Society magazine collaborated to give them their voices back and highlight the ongoing threats to press freedom in an innovative form.The idea revolved around giving power back to these journalists—letting them speak directly to the world despite being behind bars. As such, it aimed to raise awareness globally and renew support for press freedom.However, the magazine was also designed as a transformative experience for every reader, inspiring advocacy in their daily lives.Reporters Without Borders provided the contacts, guidance, and security measures necessary to communicate safely with imprisoned journalists, their families or loved ones, while the Magazine Society contributed cutting-edge, world-class, and fearless journalists ready to take all risks to give a voice back to their peers.This timeless platform allowed readers an intimate and reflective experience to truly engage with the gravity of the journalist’s stories. A tangible document of resistance which also compels them to act — spreading awareness, or simply purchasing the magazine. Indeed, €1 is donated to Reporters Without Borders for each magazine sold.
