Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
AdForum is such a great resource for inspiration and research, it's great to be able to give something back.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
It's a great point of difference compared to other awards shows.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
This will definitely encourage more entries, which can only be a good thing.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
Surprising. Brave. Crafted.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
The move away from purpose-driven marketing, without any actions to back it up. Consumers are now more sceptical than ever, so this shift can only be a good thing.
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
Rather than individuals, the team at The Orchard for Etsy's Superbowl "Thank you France" spot, for the humour and the storytelling. And Lola MullenLowe's campaign for Magnum "Find your summer," for its insight and challenging the product's seasonality head-on.
