How would you describe what you do?
I direct tv commercials, documentaries and fiction films
How did you get into this job?
Neverending interest in moving images and even more moving people
What is most challenging about what you do?
Creating authentic performances in a totally controlled environment
What is most rewarding?
Getting that authenticity; seeing real life in front of the camera
What’s a typical work week like?
One great thing about my job is that there isn't a typical work week.
What needs to happen the most in order for a shoot to run smoothly?
A precise plan A,B,C&D
Whats your best job/worst job?
Best job is when everyone is helping the project, worst job if everyone is controlling the project
What advice would you offer someone considering a career as a Director?
Be honest with yourself, you're the best at being you.
If you had one project that you could post on AdForum to represent your work, what would it be?
Not an ad, but a promo I did a couple of years ago for a unknown singer songwriter. He performed his song, one to one, various women and we filmed their reactions.
