BriefHolidays family recipes preserve our dearest memories of moments together. Usually passed down through handwritten notes or simply memorized, they unfortunately often disappear over time, along with their creators. As families reunited after a three-year hiatus, IGA gave Quebec's people a unique holiday gift to protect their precious culinary heritage forever: The Family Cookvault. Taking advantage of the national rule, which staples that every published book must be permanently preserved and made available to all at the National Archives and Library, IGA invited on their social media everyone to share their family recipes to assemble them into a one-of-a-kind collective cookbook representing families from every corner of Quebec.
