BriefWith the aim to help healthcare professionals appreciate the full potential of their patients, we have created a world first: the “Not a Lonely Journey” collection of travel guides. We launched and distributed it at the 2022 International SMA European congress in Barcelona, to prove that patients can experience more than just therapeutic journeys, but real and memorable journeys. Co-written with SMA patients, creative writers, scientific writers, and international travel journalists with credits in Vanity Fair, we’ve uncovered and catalogued exciting and accessible adventures for SMA and wheelchair travelers, from affordable activities and accommodations to tips and tricks on what to pack and how to plan their trips.
